OZZY and his wife start a new label. Spin reports that Ozzy Osbourne and his wife Sharon have launched a new record label, Divine Recordings. The label will feature heavy metal artists, with a Black Sabbath tribute disc, Black 2, due out in spring.

COURTNEY LOVE in court with dot-com squatters. According to CDNOW Allstar News, Courtney Love, along with Hole guitarist Eric Erlandson and the Estate of Kurt Cobain, filed suit over the websites www.kurtcobain.com, www.hole.com, and www.courtneylove.com. The lawsuit, filed February 17, states that two Toronto-based individuals, Ray King and Adam Corelli, have been using those web addresses without permission from the artists.

A new singer for LORDS OF ACID. After an excellent first impression on the techno-rock outfit Lords of Acid (she kissed each of them), Deborah Ostrega was named the new singer for the group. Ostrega replaces Nikkie Van Lierop, who began pursuing a solo career a little over a year ago, according to Wall of Sound.
