PEARL JAM in a city near you. You can put the bootlegs away, Pearl Jam is coming out with a new studio album and a North American tour to promote it, according to CDNOW's allstar. Their tour will begin on August 3 in Virginia Beach. The upcoming album, entitled Binaural, is set for release May 23.

MTV makes a deal for a MAGIC PILL. The band Magic Pill just signed a licensing deal with MTV for the use of all eleven songs from the bands debut CD for the up and coming new shows, "The Road Home" and "Making the Video." You can check them out here on ModernRock.com.

SOUL COUGHING falls victim to side projects. Billboard reports that eight years and three albums into their musical existence, SOUL COUGHING has called it quits. Frontman M. Doughty is working on a solo album, keyboardist Mark DeGliAntoni is collaborating with the group Horse Tricks and scoring music for an IMAX film, and bassist Sebastian Steinberg and drummer Yuval Gabay are busy with the drum'n'bass outfit, UV Ray.
