REM drummer picks up the sticks again. Sonicnet reports that ex-REM drummer Bill Berry is back behind the kit for three songs on an upcoming benefit album. The album, entitled Welcome Companions is due out June 17, with proceeds going to the Tourette Syndrome Association of Georgia.

Alt-rockers go "Powerpuff". You go "Girls"! Among others, DAVID BYRNE, FRANK BLACK, DEVO, BIS, and the APPLES IN STEREO will be featured on a new compilation of songs from and inspired by the Cartoon Network's "Powerpuff Girls," according to Billboard.
