Brown-out for CREED. The May 2, Greenville, South Carolina CREED performance was almost cancelled due to a brown-out. Lightning caused a power outage just before SEVENDUST was about to take the stage, and the audience was left in complete darkness for twenty minutes, according to MTV News. Less than an hour later, the show went on as planned, with SEVENDUST and GUANO APES opening the event. The CREED tour continues through July 1.

METALLICA nabs Napster. Billboard reports that, following a heated legal battle over copyright infringement, the MP3 exchange service known as Napster will be denying service to any user trading Metallica's music. Metallica says they will still meet Napster in court to settle the issue.

Lovin' the FUN LOVIN' CRIMINALS. They're back! FUN LOVIN' CRIMINALS are working on their third studio album, set for release early next year. Among the 18 new songs, they've also recorded a cover of ERIC B & RAKIM's "Microphone Fiend." Watch for their new video this summer.
